Organizationally Situated Authorship

With the rise of technology many businesses have looked to establishing websites and social media pages for their businesses. As such, nearly every company website has a page devoted the business’s essential and basic information often found under the heading, “About Us”. For this project the “About Us” and/or "Company Information" pages of five small businesses and 5 large were analyzed. The documents of five small businesses includes many from La Crosse area businesses: People’s Food Co-op, The Pearl, Wags & Whiskers Pet Shop, Handmade Natural Beauty, and Menomonie, WI business Bookends on Main. The five large businesses comparable in products offered to the small business were Festival Foods, Starbucks, PetSmart, The Body Shop and Barnes and Noble.
